According to recent data recently released by the County Sheriffs of Colorado, 27,031 new concealed carry permitswere issued statewide in 2022, with another 26,622 existing permits renewed. That is down from 2020 and 2021when permits skyrocketed in Colorado and around the country, but it is 14 percent increase over 2019 (23,250)and a 6 percent increase over 2018 (25,643). You can register on line by going onto Teller County 4-H. We meet for air rifle at 5:00pm Monday at the pikes Peak Community Center in Divide. For .22 rifle we meet at Victor Elks Club on Wednesday and Friday at 6:00pm. Stop by and we will introduce you to our program. The Teller County Master Gardeners will be selling vegetables, herbs, and flowers this week at the farmers market (June 16) in Woodland Park from 8:00 – noon. TR Board Meetings Have you ever wondered how-in-the-hell some jury or other group arrived at some hair-brained decision or nutcase policy? Well wonder no longer! Just let us know, by return email, that you’re coming so we don’t overload the venue. Volunteers Needed! We have committed to have a presence at a number of upcoming events and need volunteers. See More Come Shooting Saturday Shooting at Victor Elks! Our first Saturday shooting session had four Rifles turn out. Our second had eight! Our third, nine!!Come for the Elks pancake breakfast and stay and shoot afterward. Our next Saturday shoot is 01 July. Breakfast starts at 700am. The range goes live at 1000am. This was your first chance to show how responsible and thoughtful you were becoming on the way to manhood. So how did you demonstrate this budding maturity? By joining all of your other pals in the neighborhood (who also seemed to get their Red Ryders at about the same time in their lives), divide up into sides, and have BB gun wars! Who knew what epic battles could be fought over a buddy's front yard?
