SITUATIONAL AWARENESS TRAINING teaches people how to actively observe, understand, and respond to their environment in real time, especially during high-risk situations. It helps individuals notice what's happening around them (people, objects, behaviors, and changes). Attendees will learn to quickly identify potential risks, anomalies, or threats ("something doesn't look/feel right") and respond intelligently. Chief Bud Bright will explain techniques like scanning surroundings, baseline behavior, spotting pre-incident indicators and more. He will present practical exercises such as, observing a room before entering, identifying exits, and reading body language. The ultimate objective of this training is to move from being passively present to proactively aware, reducing the chance of being caught off-guard by accidents, violence, or other dangers. The class is open to everyone, including those in high-risk professions (security, military, first responders). PLEASE REGISTER prior to the training so we can plan effectively. Class tuition is $20 (to be paid on the day of the training).
